An extended family with far-reaching roots in the world of wine...
Alison Jane, the winemaker from Down Under whose forebears were early settlers in the famous Barossa Valley wine region, learnt her craft through spells with the producers Stanley-Leasingham, Merrivale, Leo Buring and Settlement in the Clare, Barossa and McLaren Vale districts of South Australia, all the while cultivating her great passion for Shiraz. With a degree in oenology from Australia and post-graduate studies in viticulture in Torino, and after spending a lifetime in world agriculture, AJ eventually materialised her long-held vision for crafting original wines from a sustainable vineyard in Tuscany.
Claudio Berlingieri, the retired engineer who went back to being a manager. Producing wine is a tradition also for the Berlingieri family, one that Claudio’s brother Vincenzo took with him and successfully transplanted in Australia in the last century.
Alfredo Buonomo, the Comptroller who has kept the vigneron-dreamers on the right side of the law and the tax office.
Alberto Cagneschi, the Maremmano whose family originally farmed our vineyard block at “Braccia Larghe”.
